Announcement: Leuven 2024

Dear Member, Dear Colleague, 

I am proud to announce our Licage Congress taking place in Leuven Belgium 19th-20th of September 2024. The theme this year is: “Innovations and Challenges in Liver Transplantation”. We have a great program lined up and hope you participate in numbers.

As a member, you can register on the website. Click on the Licage Leuven Congress logo to access the registration page. Once registered, you will receive a booking confirmation. As a trainee or nurse please remember provide a certificate on site.

Not yet a member? Please register as a member first and then go to the event page to register for the congress. As a non-member we ask you to pay this extra fee ( 100 euro as a registered physician, 30 euro as a nurse or trainee). This way you also receive the benefit of a full year membership with access to the Licage Academy page.

Description: The Faculty Club in Leuven is a unique event location. The breathtaking setting of the restored buildings of the Grand Beguinage make it the ideal place for all your meetings, receptions and (staff) parties. There is a good reason why the site was made UNESCO World Heritage in 2000.

The historic setting of the Grand Beguinage is situated in the centre of Flemish Brabant, close to Brussels and Mechelen and a stone’s throw from Antwerp and Limburg. It is within walking distance of Leuven’s lively city centre too.

Faculty Club is easy to access via the ring road round Leuven. Close to the E40 and E314, it is only 15 minutes from the airport. There is a free car park for 250 vehicles. 

By car: E40 Brussels>Liège or E314 –exit Leuven –keep following Leuven –keep right at the end of the exit (after several traffic lights) and at the beginning of the ring road around Leuven (viaduct) –make a U-turn to the left on the ring road at the second traffic lights (Park Poort) –turn right after 1 km

By public transport: Bus numbers 2 or 600 (ringbus) from the Leuven railwaystation. Busstop bus N° 2: “Naamse Poort” –Busstop bus N° 600: ‘University Sports centre’. For more information about the busses : www.delijn.be 

From the airport: Train Airport –Leuven/Luik: stop Leuven. Then take bus nrs. 2 or 600.
