Dear collogues and friends,
I am very proud of LICAGE’s accomplishments in the recent years, which is owed in large part due to the efforts of its members. All the hard work that happens between meetings is done by our council and its members. Our last meeting in Edinburgh was a great success and clearly shows that Anesthesia and Critical Care form thebackbone of liver transplantation. This is because of thorough, timely and constructive work.
In order to improve our society’s visibility, we are excited to announce that our new and improved website is up and running. The updated site includes changes to navigation, with dropdown menus for both mobile and desktop versions. We’ve also improved the structure of our content, so you’ll get more from a quick read. There’s a host of smaller yet impactful changes, all to make for a better experience.
Meeting our patients’ needs requires the most comprehensive, latest knowledge for our daily work as a team. The field of liver transplantation is developing quickly. The topics covered in our meetings are challenging yet exciting, reflected by the different approaches and controversies in the various disciplines which are involved in the treatment of these patients.
The exchange and discussion among the different expert groups in anesthesia, critical care, surgery, hepatology, radiology, pediatrics and pathology improves the quality of the meeting. Besides these educational tasks, we also discuss new therapeutic trends that might become available in the near future.
We are also pleased to announce that, as a LICAGE member, you are also an ESA Associate Member at no additional cost to you.
We would like to ensure that you take full advantage of all the benefits available to our Associate Members:
